Occupational Therapy Assessment and Intervention in the Acute Care Setting Post Stroke with a Focus on Cognition

Tacy Wren, MOTR/L, discusses some of the assessments used by occupational therapists at Barnes-Jewish Hospital to determine the severity of cognitive and vision impairment in post stroke patients. Some of the assessments discussed include the Short Blessed Test, Boston Naming Test and the Montreal Cognitive Assessment as well as different ideas for additional screening and interventions in this setting.
