Physical Therapy Assessments and Techniques to Promote Early Mobility in the Acute Setting

How can we safely mobilize and promote early mobility with our patients that have had a stroke or have severe weakness or balance deficits, without hurting ourselves or putting patients at risk for falls and other adverse incidents? They explore unique interventions used in the acute care setting with stroke A1:B16 examine the benefits of early mobility and weight bearing in this setting, and discuss the use of the full standing support sling as an aid when providing physical and occupational therapy intervention to stroke patients.
